Did you hear the news??? Time travel is now a possibility! You decide that you want to go back to Elizabethan times, however, you are going to have to really figure out how you are expected to behave. Otherwise, you will be shunned by the people of Elizabethan society and you might not ever make it home. |

If you are one of our male students, you will be traveling with your younger sister (if you don't have one, pretend you do!) and your parents. Our female students will be traveling with their younger brothers and parents. Research the culture of the time... what was it like for men, women, girls, and boys of Elizabethan England? Were women treated differently? How much education did they receive? Did your level of education vary depending on your gender or social class? |

Consider how your life would be different...what would your hobbies be? Is it possible that, at age 14, you might already be married with children? What expectations would there be of you? |

What did people eat? What was a common day of meals like for Elizabethans? Was there an equivalent to the sports that we have today? |
