Regions Project Procedure
Here are the steps to complete in order to accomplish this task: (the line after each number is there for you to check steps off as you accomplish them)
1. _____In class, you will learn how to word process in French, including accent marks. You will learn how to access the French language feature, which has been installed on p.c.s in the Verdery Library and the U.S. computer lab. This will enable you to check your spelling and accent marks as you create the French text for your slides.
2.____You will get a quick refresher lesson on Power Point and importing images from Mr. Van Auken. Mrs Woodward can provide instruction on scanning images from books.
3.___Your entire text must be written in French and approved by Madame Fakhouri before you may begin to build your Power Point. Cutting and pasting text from web sites is plagiarism and will not be allowed. You will not be allowed to use sites written in English. Using an on line translator is also plagiarism and a violation of Wooster's honor code.
4. ___You must create a bibliography where you cite any books and web pages you use, even if you have just taken a picture from them. Failure to cite a page used is plagiarism and a violation of Wooster's honor code. (Click HERE for Wooster's Online Bibliography Guidelines)
5.__In order to write your text, you must answer the list of seven
questions in French. We went over these questions in class, and answered them
using the New England region of the U.S. as our example. For the questions,
see document entitled Votre exposé doit répondre aux questions
suivantes:
6.__Text for the first three questions and their bibliography material is to be handed to Madame Fakhouri after our first class spent in either the U.S. Computer Lab or the Verdery Library.
7.__Text for the following four questions and their bibliography material
is to be handed to Madame Fakhouri after our second class spent using the
computers.
8. __The complete power power-point with mistake
free text and bibliography slide is due after our fourth class spent using
the computers.

brainstorming as you could appropriately.
Citations
1.__You have synthesized the information you got from sources and have not
repeated anything verbatim, because to do so would be a violation of Wooster's
honor code.
2.__The text represents your own work, and you have not used an on line translator.
3.__All sources of information are properly cited, identified and credited
using MLA format for bibliography.
Text Elements
1.__You have chosen fonts and colors that are easy to read and do not distract
or impede comprehension.
2.__ You used font sizes, appropriately for headings and text.
3.__ The backgrounds and colors enhance the readability of the text and do
not detract from it.
Layout
1. __The layout is pleasing to the eye and contributes to the overall message
and purpose of the project.
2. __You included a title slide, a slide for each of the 8 questions, and
a bibliography slide.
