Introduction

WELCOME

You have been commissioned by the Museum Directors to create an on-line collection of information and artifacts relating to the study of Ancient Egypt. Your museum display will be one "room" of our Web Museum.

Your position at the museum will involve the construction of an exhibit on the topic you have selected. The museum opening is only a few weeks away. Good luck!

The Process

To create your museum exhibit you will have to follow these steps:

1. Meet with your partner or team. Assign tasks to each member. Fill out the "Big6" research outline form.

2. Use the resources listed below for your category and start digging through web sites and/or come to the library for book resources.

3. Create a MSWord or ClarisWorks document for your topic. Store your work in your personal folder on INET/Students/2008/...... When you are all finished and your work has been approved by your teacher, please save it in "HTML format".

4. Don't forget to include a Title for your Exhibit "room", the first names only of your team, and the date completed.

5. Be prepared to present your exhibit to the rest of the class at our museum opening. You will also need to hand in a print out of your exhibit room.

Evaluation

Each student will receive one grade for this project. It is a group grade. A rubric for evaluating the final exhibits is listed below. Please look at this after the project has been explained, but before the groups begin, so the students know what is expected of them. The rubric will be used to assign a grade for the group.
